High yield pasture and crops need fertile balanced soils

High yielding crops require fertile balanced soils

Key to highly productive crops is the function of soils. Soil structure, chemistry and biology are critical in supporting crops throughout the growing season.

By improving all aspects of the soil, crops will benefit from improved access to moisture, due to improved infiltration and water holding capacity, improved access to nutrition through improved nutrient cycling, fixation (for N) and a reduction in loss pathways, improved resilience to abiotic stresses and disease, improved root growth providing access to additional moisture and nutrients as well as improved carbon sequestration and a range of other benefits (link to resources - soil health).

Beneficial microorganisms stimulate the plant’s root growth and help protect it from abiotic stresses.

This is made possible through mutually beneficial relationships that microbes develop with plants, for example mycorrhizal associations.   BioIQ products programs supply essential macronutrients (N, P, K, S, Ca), trace elements (B, Zn, Cu etc.),  microbial food and metabolites beneficial microorganisms that colonise root systems, improving soil function, plant health and productivity.

BioIQ Secret Bacteria

Our nitrogen producing bacillus bacteria are mixed with our range of liquid fertilisers to create a powerful soil development tool. When BioIQ products are applied at the time of planting or sowing, as the seed germinates and roots grow, BioIQ microbes adhere to the epidermis of the roots, forming a mutualistic relationship with the plant. The microbes feed off the exudates of the plant and deliver nitrogen daily throughout its growth cycle.
Managing soil fertility is important, and nitrogen is a critical nutrient in crop production. With synthetic nitrogen fertiliser, unpredictable weather and other environmental factors can prevent up to half of the nitrogen applied from being efficiently used by plants.
BioIQ addresses the nutrient absorption issue through its naturally-occurring microbes that deliver nitrogen in a timely and efficient manner through biological nitrogen fixation — resulting in more productive and predictable crop yields for farmers without nutrient degradation, leaching, or runoff into waterways and reductions in the amount of synthetic nitrogen that is required to grow any crop.

BioIQ was born out of an ambition to reduce the use of synthetic chemical fertilisers and improve soil health, migrating farmers and agribusinesses to programs more sustainable and safer to use.

Robert Rushford and Mike Tyrrell offer a new plant nutrition solution that provides regenerative and all natural solutions for farmers, land managers [and homeowners] to improve the health of the planet through scientific innovation.

BioIQ is made for Farmers and Land Managers … A leader in fertiliser and soil conditioner technology.
